Job Description: Baptist Health is looking for a Retail Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Baptist Health LaGrange! Performs all functions and duties with the patient at the center, ensuring prompt and friendly service in the Community Pharmacy. Performs all tasks associated with the filling and dispensing of community prescriptions, including computer order entry, updating patient information, filling and labeling prescriptions, and completing transactions at the point of sale. Delivery of medications to discharging patients per Pharmacists requests. Completes prescriber outreach for prescription refills under direct pharmacist supervision. Schedules and coordinates home delivery for prescriptions. Assists in inventory management processes, including order review, inventory returns, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation. Assist with maintaining the Pharmacy department by keeping it clean and in order. Performs simple nonsterile compounding per current USP guidelines and as permitted by state law under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. Assists in training new staff when assigned. Escalates all identified problems or patient complaints, if they cannot be corrected by the employee, to the Pharmacist to ensure timely resolution. Effectively resolves third party processing issues in a timely manner. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Previous retail pharmacy work experience preferred. Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (KY hospitals), within 30 days of hire date if you are a new registrant. If previously registered, you must have registration before or on date of hire.
