The Member Services Attendant provides Front Desk presence to greet customers at the St. Lukes Fitness & Sports Performance Centers. Communicates effectively with all customers to assist with the recruitment and maintenance of Fitness & Sports Performance clients. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides supervision of business operations of the Center including membership fees, revenues, and expenses for both internal and external programming, Reports all required findings to the Regional Manager and/or Senior Director Sells Fitness Center memberships by dispensing information and answering questions regarding Fitness & Sports Performance services and fees, via both in-person tours and over the phone, in a professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic way Responsible for the management, processing, and accounting of all FSP memberships, including billing, sales, collections, and membership retention. This may include CC, ACH, PRD, checks, credit, and cash transactions Generates daily, weekly, and monthly reports when needed, including earned and deferred revenue, sales, membership summaries, and usage demographics Responsible for the maintenance and management of the membership data and tracking system Responsible for the training and oversight of new Membership Services Attendant staff Responsible for the training and oversight of the Exercise Specialists and Fitness Assistants as it applies to Front Desk tasks Provides confidential clerical support to the Regional Manager and/or Senior Director, including scheduling appointments, typing, database management, and filing Facilitates communication between Regional Manager and/or Senior Director, staff, clients, and community PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Sitting for up to 8 hours per day, up to 4 hours at a time. Standing or walking for up to 3 hours per day, 1 hour at a time. Some bending, some reaching above shoulder level. Frequent fingering and handling while typing or writing. Lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds. Hearing as it applies to normal conversation and telephone use. Seeing as it relates to normal and peripheral vision. EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent preferred. College degree preferred. TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Fitness field experience preferred. Two years business office experience required. Excellent customer service and communication skills required. Database management and Excel experience required. CPR certification required.
