Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: Nazareth Hospital, a member of Trinity Health, Mid-Atlantic, is looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our Gastroenterology Team! Shift: Full-time, days The Medical Receptionist operates multiline line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel. Sorts incoming mail and dispatches outgoing mail. Schedules appointments for employer or other employees for patients by mail, phone, or in person. Shows computer knowledge including operating a practice management system, internet accessibility and data entry. Serves patients by greeting and helping them, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts. Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patients arrival, reviewing service delivery compared to schedule, and reminding providers of service delays. Obtains revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, and filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims. Protects patients rights by maintaining confidentiality of medical, personal, and financial information. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
