Department: Nursing Department’s Website: Summary of Job Duties: This adjunct faculty position teaches face to face and/or online courses in the RN to BSN program at the National Park College (NPC) satellite campus. This position reports directly to the UAM School of Nursing (SON) dean and is considered UAM adjunct faculty. Therefore, this position is required to participate and complete all university and SON requirements. 1. Collaborate with UAM SON dean to implement and evaluate the RN- BSN curriculum taught on the NPC campus. This includes monitoring and reporting course outcomes per instructions. 2. Participate in theoretical instruction as assigned by the UAM SON dean. 3. Participate in academic counseling with the RN -BSN student on the NPC campus. 4. Maintain security and confidentiality of all program and student records. 5. Use appropriate current instructional resources to facilitate student progress toward meeting objectives. 6. Maintain appropriate records regarding student evaluation and progress. 7. Assist in the development of standards for the progression and graduation of nursing students. 8. Serve as a professional role model for students. 9. Develop effective working relationships within the university, the SON, and the community. 10. Maintain a copy of all prepared lecture materials in an agreed upon electronic or secure place. 11. Promote the goals, objectives, and reputation of the university. 12. Complete required university professional development training by established deadlines. 13. Complete and submit yearly self-evaluation, peer-review, and goals/objectives per UAM SON dean instruction. 14. Send updated Curriculum Vita (CV) to UAM SON dean upon request. Faculty must use the UAM CV format. 15. Participate in service opportunities (to UAM, the nursing profession, and the community) recording service on the CV. 16. Participate in the UAM SON-NPC ad hoc curriculum committee. 17. Complete all SON accreditation tasks as assigned. Qualifications: 1. Must be a current NPC nursing faculty member with application approval from the NPC Dean before applying. 2. Must maintain an unencumbered Registered Nursing license (multi-state tag required if not an Arkansas license). 3. Must hold a graduate degree in nursing. 4. Must have experience using online learning platforms.
