Location: Altru Family Medicine Residency | Pharmacy 725 Hamline St. Grand Forks, ND 58203 Pay Range: $63.72 – $95.59 Summary: The Pharmacist Shift Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day and shift-to shift operations of the pharmacy department. This role focuses on overseeing medication management and dispensing activities to ensure each shift performs duties compliant with state and federal regulations while attaining established standards of quality and safety. The Pharmacy Shift Supervisor engages in dispensing activities more than fifty percent of the time. This position is concentrated on shift-specific duties and maintaining continuity of care. The Shift Supervisor champions Altru’s mission, vison, and values. Essential Job Functions: Advises leadership of significant and/or unexpected variances. Demonstrates an understanding of the budget and assists leadership in keeping within fiscal parameters. Assists in developing and implementing short term goals and is responsible for measurable outcomes and effective use of resources. Participates in the development and implementation of policies, and procedures. Serves as a resource for staff and physicians regarding policies, procedures, Joint Commission Standards, and practices. Assists in the hiring process. Provides information and makes recommendations to the Manager on performance reviews, disciplinary action and separation related decisions. Completes reporting and record keeping requirements accurately and within established timelines. Collaborates with the clinical education team for onboarding, orientation, and training. Monitors services for efficiency and accuracy by evaluating, initiating and participating in process and quality improvement. Carries out time and attendance responsibilities according to established procedure. Coordinates staffing and scheduling duties in accordance with established procedure and practices. Performs shift-specifics duties of the pharmacist, including but not limited to, dispensing activities, clinical interventions and communication with other members of the health care team. Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
